WHY

Connecting people by doing sports together is our goal in ABC Project, because we would like to support the community in Nepal. Connecting and meeting other people on a structural base will create a stable community. When people are connected with each other (from a distance by the internet or nearby via activities) we believe that people living in a strong and stable community can support each other.

HOW

Sport is one way to make a strong community. The children in Nepal are desperate to sport, but they don’t have any sport materials. We want to donate sport materials to their community and let them do what they would like to do. The materials will be used at the Buddha Jyoti Higher Secondary School and in a youth club nearby as well.

By supporting them with sport materials, there will be more sport activities. During these activities the children will get several positive impacts, such as learn about fair play, respect, better health conditions, and interaction of people with different social backgrounds.

WHAT

We first investigated what kind of sport materials the people in Nepal need. By creating a logo (‘Sport Support Nepal’), websites, and with writing blogs we informed people about our project. We will raise money by, for example, baking cookies and sell them at our school.

We had intensively contact with the teachers in Nepal to investigate how to provide sport materials. We now want to buy the materials from a Nepalese website, this saves shipping costs, and it supports the economy in Nepal. The school will supply our sport materials for a youth club nearby and send us pictures. With our blog we keep our sponsors updated about our project. Up to now, we already collected € 312,30!
